Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

Our tours meet at different spots throughout the Door County Peninsula.  Please see the unique tour pages to view their meeting locations.

Can I bring my dog on a kayak tour?

As long as it is calm enough, you have a lifejacket for the dog, and the dog is well behaved.

How long does a tour take?

Our 2 hour tours take approx 2.5-3 hours total from when you show up to when you leave.  The actual on water time is about ~2 hours on the water.  Our 1/2 day tours take a little longer, plan on 5 hours total for them. Also if you have a private or extra large group, they can take a little longer, as it is comparable to herding cats.

What should I bring and wear on the tour?

Light layered synthetic clothing, water shoes or sandals.  A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a water.

What have you done to ensure your tour is safe?

We highly train our guides and use sit on top kayaks, use life jackets and keep a close eye on the weather.

Do you have weight and height restrictions for your tours?

Yes, the kayaks and bikes are only built for certain maximum weights.  270 for the ebikes.  and 450 total pounds for the tandem kayak.  We can use the tandem kayak as a single for larger people.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, all participants must sign a waiver before participating in the tour. The waivers are provided at “Base Camp” upon arrival.
